Mr. & Mrs. Sedano

It’s been over a year now since we said our I do’s. Reflecting on that special day gives me butterflies all over again. My husband and I had been together for a little over 4 years when we decided to (finally) tie the knot. I was at a point of my life where I had grown significantly in the Lord & I really wanted every part of my life to reflect His will. As young parents Luis & I faced many struggles. To me, our wedding was a celebration of the mountains we overcame and the beginning of a new life, one pleasing and dedicated to God, who I credit for getting us through the tough times and setting a solid foundation for our family. He revealed to me that life’s first ministry is in the walls of your own home. Committing to each other and to our family through marriage was the most important step in our life.

It takes strength, faith, and unconditional love to maintain a marriage. Emphasis on the love part because now a days we get the love part wrong. Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It does not dishonor others, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres.  (1 Corinthians 13:4-8) When done Gods way love never fails.

& What better way to celebrate our love with a wedding on the day of love, Valentines day?

No long term planning went into our wedding day. We literally planned it out in about 2 months! Our ceremony was very intimate with only our immediate families, and a few others who have guided and mentored us along the way. It was a huge surprise to everyone when we announced we were married.!  We do plan on a bigger ceremony for our vow renewals in the future where we can share with all of our family.

We missed having our families there but in all honesty I wouldn’t have changed a thing about it. The day was all about us.

Thank you to Albertson’s Wedding Chapel for being so accommodating to our budget, for the beautiful venue, and the memorable photos. I have recommended this chapel to so many people. Following our ceremony we had a delicious dinner at Maggiano’s located at the Grove. For our anniversary he brought me back there! It was such a romantic gesture we decided to do that every year. 🙂

Im so glad to have married you! Heres to many more years!

Here are a few of my favorite captured moments.

A special thank you to our families who are always there to support us. When the going gets tough I feel confident in knowing that we have the ones we love praying and rooting us on. We love you.

  1. I love the pictures. You are such a beautiful person inside and out. There are lots of ups and downs in marriage. You are guided by the Lord with love, Judy. All one can do is apply His rules and will. What happens from this, is the effort from both partners and where the Lord leads them or not. The key “stay strong in the Lord at all times and he will lead you”.

  2. Thank you for the words of encouragement sue. It is so true. When we allow God to lead the mountains don’t seem so big & the little things are cherished! Love u sue
